Q: Do we have to pass referrals?
A: No, referrals are not required. We don’t track who sends business to whom. However, it is strongly encouraged (after all, that’s one of the biggest benefits to networking) and we encourage “shout-outs” and thank yous to those who have done business together!
Q: How many meetings do we have to attend to remain 'in good standing'?
A: We ask that our members attend at least 2 weeks in a month. Sometimes we get asked if we can make an exception for certain circumstances and we are usually happy to accommodate. After all, life happens!
Q: Why is there an attendance policy?
A: We have an attendance policy because showing up regularly is a major part of making networking work. Typically, those who attend regularly get more value out of their networking experience than those who do not.
Q: How much is it to renew each year?
A: Renewal is $20/year for all chapters.
Q: I haven't been able to get there for the past couple of months. How do I get back in 'good standing'?
A: With the exception of the meeting cost, there is no cost to regain your ‘good standing’ status, just show up! If your membership has lapsed, then all you have to do is renew for $20 and then show up!
Q: Why should I become a member?
A: One of the benefits of being a member in good standing is that you will get the opportunity to give a 20-minute presentation about your business. The other benefit is that you can be visible on our member directory and and you will be able to post articles about your business.
Q: Is there a set menu at the meetings that have a breakfast/lunch?
A: No, we work with the restaurant to offer our members choices from a limited menu. We also make an effort to include options for those with limited/specific diets.
